 Red Fort or Lal Quila built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan

Red Fort is an impressive structure made of red sandstone
and has walls extending upto 2 kilometers in length with the
height varying between 18 meters to 33 meters. The Rajputana

Entrance to this fort is through Lahori Gate, which leads
you to long bazaar street, the Chatta Chowk. The market place
is called the Meena Bazaar, and has an excellent collection

where musicians used to play for the emperor. Then, there
is Diwan-I-Aam or the Hall of Public audience, where the king
would listen to the complaints of the common man. Diwan I

Rang Mahal or the palace of colors housed emperor's wives
and mistresses, and has a beautiful lotus shaped fountain,
made out of single piece of marble.
Red Fort was beautifully decorated and adorned with excellent
paintings, mosaics of mirror, and use of gold and silver etc.
